Education

"We need education that builds character, makes the body strong, increases peace of mind, develops intellect, and enables a person to stand on their own feet." - Swami Vivekananda

Surya Sanskar Kendra
Keeping this idea in mind for today's children who will be the future of India, the Surya Foundation has started Surya Sanskar centers in villages to provide free education and values to children from classes 1 to 5. Poor children from villages are taught for 2 hours at the Surya Sanskar center. They are taught through interesting games and activities, just like the famous educationist of Gujarat, Gijubhai Bheekha. Along with education, patriotic songs and stories of great personalities are also taught, and yoga and sports are also practiced.

Surya Youth Club
Swami Vivekananda used to say, "We need young people with muscles of iron and nerves of steel." Inspired by these thoughts, Surya Youth Club was started, which holds daily 2-hour sessions of sports, exercise, karate, yoga, inspiring stories of great personalities, and discussions on village development. Sports competitions are also held. Various development programs are carried out in villages and slums. Training is also given to them to stay healthy and strong. The goal of such education is to make them self-reliant and imbue them with values so that they can make their families, villages, and communities self-reliant as well.

Training
Translation: Under the Ideal Village Program of Surya Foundation, in the year 2019, a total of 1210 workers were trained through 14 workshops including Acharya Training Camp, Service-oriented Camp, Organic Farming Conference, and Personality Development Camp at the Delhi Training Center. The aim of the organization is to prepare such workers who can efficiently manage various dimensions of an ideal village and increase their motivation levels.

Adult Education
In the village, there are still some elderly people who cannot write their own name. To make such people literate, they should be taught how to write, read and write their own name. This effort is being made by the Surya Foundation."
